i have two questions.
1) I have a tomato plant in one of those plastic terra colored pots. Everytime I water it, the run-off water is terra colored. Is this normal? is it safe to eat the tomatoes?

2) I'm new to gardening and I found that I have to hand pollinate my tomatoes, cucumbers , and bell peppers. Why is it that I have to hand pollinate my celebrity tomatoes and not the cherry tomatoes.?

Thank you community!

bees and sometimes other insects will pollinate your flowers. If your area is short on bees, hand pollinating may be helpful. Additionally, you can make a sugar water mixture, place in a shallow dish with a piece of sponge so the bees can drink the water and stay on sponge - and not drown. That mixture can attract more bees.

You can also plant a variety of flowers to attract bees.

Your pots may be holding water and it may discolor, but it shouldn't hurt anything - I think your tomatoes are fine.
Good luck,
