I just ordered the following from amazon:

"Root Cellaring: Natural Cold Storage of Fruits & Vegetables"
Mike Bubel; Paperback; $10.17

Sold by: Amazon.com, LLC
1 "The Sustainable Vegetable Garden: A Backyard Guide to Healthy Soil and Higher Yields"
John Jeavons; Paperback; $10.36

Sold by: Amazon.com, LLC
1 "How to Grow More Vegetables and Fruits (and Fruits, Nuts, Berries, Grains, and Other Crops) Than You Ever Thought Possible on Less Land Than You Can Imagine"
John Jeavons; Paperback; $13.57

Sold by: Amazon.com, LLC
1 "Seed to Seed: Seed Saving and Growing Techniques for Vegetable Gardeners"
Suzanne Ashworth; Paperback; $16.47

I wanted to get these before I made my final garden plan so that I can have a long and fruitful season. So hopefully the reads do me justice along with the notes from the list. Wish me luck.

I've read all of Jeavons books and found them really useful. He's from the school of hard work though, and will encourage you to double dig, etc, etc. His thoughts on sustainable agriculture are pretty thought provoking.

You may want to add in Square Foot Gardening and Four Season Gardening. I find them very helpful as well.

I am excited to see what the two sustainable harvest books entail. I also have a copy o mel's book, the newer version. I will definitely have to look up the four season harvest one.
