Hey ladies and gents!!! I have an owari satsuma orange tree that I bought last year. It has an 18" or so shoot coming out of the bottom of the trunk of the main tree. It's healthy, covered in thorns & has a healthy topping of leaves. Can I & how would I go about removing the extra "branch" & getting it to root? I can't find my cam batteries, otherwise I'd get a pic up for you all. If you have to have one, I can post one as soon as I find or get new batteries (they've been missing for quite some time, LOL).

Seems it may be a sucker. I cut it in case it is. Since it isn't part of the main tree, I figure it can't do any harm. I'm trying to root it, so I'll report back if it does!
