They are so cute! Once my husband's health is under control (hopefully) I hope to raise a few of them myself. Please post your successes, failures and everything in between so I can learn more. Kim

These are the second set of quail I am hatching. My girls claimed the first couple of button quail (more of a test as I learned) and I've done 2 batches of coturnix. Sadly, my grand daughter played with the incubator and I didn't catch the temp spike in time to save the 1st batch of eggs.

This second set of eggs, well, I am doing sort of a staggered hatch with my LG (i know it's not recommended, but only have 1 so far). So far I have 11 of 37 eggs hatched and had to remove some of the fuzz butts and put them in the brooder to make room for the rest of them to hatch.

Since I've modified my incubator, I don't have quite as much room as before, but was easily able to still hold like 21 chicken eggs and 60 quail eggs at the same time. (what happened to the other 23 since I only set 37?)

Grand Daughter. She played egg stomp lol. God bless the lil ones, they must be locked out of my hobby room from now on! :D

Yeah, that chick wasn't too keen on the idea of leaving the brooder and going outside. He kept cuddling up in my arms and didn't want to be put down. Finally I had to do it, jump back and wait for him to stop running after me so I could snap a pic. Lol!
