How much land do you need to set up a garden just like Patti's, including the animals?

Without the animals all you need is 500 sq feet. A DVD of the process is available for sale at garden centers http://www.gardengirltv.com/garden_girl_tv_urban_sustainable_gardening_store.h tml (http://www.gardengirltv.com/garden_girl_tv_urban_sustainable_gardening_store.h tml) or online at www.olivebarn.com (http://www.olivebarn.com). With a small number of chickens, my main garden is the perfect size at 65'x 25' or 1625 sqft. There's plenty of room for many raised beds seating area chicken tractor or coop, fruit trees, grape vines and plenty of healthy food for you and your family.

This question reminds me of one that was once asked of Abraham Lincoln in reference to the fact that he was so tall.. "How long should a man's legs be?" His answer was, "Long enough to reach the ground."

So in response to this question, I think a good answer would be "Big enough to accomplish your goals.." = )
