Drip Irrigation

Drip irrigation is a cornerstone of sustainable agriculture. It is easy to install and operate and reduces water usage from traditional methods. Basically, you use a timer and a system of strategically laid-out rubber hose throughout your planting beds to disperse water at regular intervals where you need it most. The water gets to your plants by dripping through tiny holes in the hose, or through sprinkler heads that you can place throughout your garden. All you need is some easy-to-use hardware that hooks up directly to your standard garden hose faucet.

Drip irrigation works for traditional gardens, raised beds, and even patio container gardens. You can set the timer as needed for your climate, space, and specific plants, and even use a fertilizer injection system to fertilize your plants automatically while you water them! The timer makes sure you never forget a watering, and you can even go on vacation without worrying that your plants are being neglected. And best of all, you actually use a lot less water per season by using drip irrigation! Check out these videos for step-by-step tips on how to take the worry and work out of watering.
